Hi all!

I just thought this would be a good topic for today to keep this forum going.

I'd like to see all of our registered hobbyist contribute to this one. It will be fun to read most of the answers. It will also help those who are new to the hobby to learn more on what they need to know!!!

So.....

What do you know now, that you wish you would have known before you started your saltwater aquarium??

I hope to see some good answers!!

Have a good one!!!

Mine would be patience! :D

Well, I'm actually still working on being more patient in this hobby. I always tend to be so excited that I do so many things at one time. You all know that if you're into the aquarium hobby, PATIENCE is the key to keeping a successful aquarium.

So to all the beginners out there, just be patient, take it one step at a time. It's ok to take it slow!!!

I would say learn more about the fish species you're getting before buying it.

I had a blue tang that I think had and "ich". I wish I would have researched more about the possible diseases it might be prone to so I would know more how to treat it once the fish is actually infected. Or even prevent it from getting it if I did more research. :)

I wish I would have know how rewarding this hobby is. I would've started sooner!! :D

Yes it will be complicated at times but it relieves my stress from work. Sometimes I just stare at my tank and don't even notice that an hour had past!!

Anyway, I hope to see more and more members!!

i know what you're saying bugs. Especially when upgrading the aquarium. And the equipments as well. That's why it's always better to research first and always look for reviews on equipments and see what the ratings are from the people who actually used it!!
